A.N jell} angels , you're beautiful

Watched Inception today with Chloe, Phuay Kia, Nat, Gen, Cheng Yun, Ruth, Jojo today at Kallang Leisure Park. I TOTALLY LOVE THIS MOVIE. IT ROCKS SO MUCH! IT'S SO DAMN VERY NICE! IT'S A MUST WATCH!!! AHHHHH I WANNA RE-WATCH IT AGAIN!! XD

Ahhhh there's a tinge of disappointment and sadness contained within me...Singapore Youth Olympic Games have ended! 12 days ago, the olympic torch in Marina Bay lit up and before I even know it, it was put out.. ): 14-26 August it was held, and that was when CT2 started and ended -.- How can we even share and celebrate this joy and glory with the world when we can't even watch the games?! :'( How disappointing...

Anyway I did watch the opening and closing ceremony of the YOG S'pore 2010 ---It's a must watch no matter how important those bloody exams are :D --- held on 14 and 26 August, which is today :D

The closing ceromony was not as nice as the opening.. no water no torch no phoenix no big scary monsters blah blah... It was such a sad moment when the Olymic flame in the light house is being put out..

Recalling 14 August...

It was quite a major success for Singapore (Just keep aside the flags part LOL)... In fact, it was the most magnificient performance of Singapore I've ever seen in my life --even better than the National Day Celebration :X --

It was heart-warming to watch the Olympic Flame lit up in the light house, announcing the commencement of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010...

It was also heart-warming that Singapore have won 6 YOG medals in this year's games --- 2 Silver from swimming and table tennis and 4 bronze from archery, football, taekwondo x 2 --- :DDD

Well, I kinda look forward to the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games four years later in 2014, as I intend to sign up as a volunteer!! ^^ I felt so sad for not being able to take part this year..:(

So, I think this comes to the end of my YOG S'PORE 2010 post!

Okay, I know my bloggie is dying, or dead already. Hahas. So I'm here to revive it! :D
On Friday 4th June, Nat Chloe and I went to ACS Barker Road to take part in the 30 Hour Famine Camp, which means we'll all go without food for 30 hours and survive only on drinks :D
First we had mac for brunch i guess, at NP, then we headed to ACS :D
Gosh, that school is so damn huge I think i'd need a map to go round it.
The camp started at around 1pm and I met my Sarit members :D
Made new friends and it was fun!
We played games related to poverty and i guess i learnt some things(:
The games lasted till 5 plus and we had our dinner - a really small cup of milo, and a packet of soya bean milk (: - after which we headed back to the audi for some talk.

At 7pm we headed to the concert hall and tennis court respectively, whereby we put ourselves into the shoes of a shoeshine boy and a rubbish-picking child - wiped the shoes of our partner and picked out 50 beans from a rubbish bag filled with wet newspapers.

Then we headed to the audi for another talk by a former vietnam street kid. The talk was much more interesting than the previous one (:

After that we had our supper - a can of 100 plus - and lights off at 0100.

Woke at 0600 the next day and breakfasted - a packet of soya bean milk- and carried out area cleaning.
After that headed to the audi and learnt some flash mob dance...which was quite funnyyy but cool, and then waited and waited and waited and waited till 12 plus and finally boarded the bus to Scape Building @ Orchard(:

Then built cardboard shelters and wrote reflections, and subsequently almost everyone's shelters collapsed due to the strong winds :X

At around 5, every 1000+ of us headed to orchard road (along the streets of Orchad Ion, Wisma) with 78 dancers from Singapore Arts Festival and did the Flash Mob -we'll "act" like we were just there to shop and chat (when it is so obvious that we were there for something because every 1000+ of us was wearing orange and you could see "clumps" of orange everywhere :X). Anyway, while we were acting, a music will start and all "orange" people would have to crowd together around the dancers and join them in the dancing. Quite interesting actually(: Hahas.
After that we'll walk back to Scape and on the way, a facil will raise up a board with a picture of an African boy and shout "I am hungryyyy!!!!!" All "oranges" crowded round him and shouted back while pointing at the picture "but they are starving!!!!!"
I think this is quite meaningful because we are able to spread th word around that many children around the world are starving and that we should lend a helping hand.
Finally, we were left with the concert finale. Sat on the floor (butt ached a lot :X) and watched the performances till 7 (When our 30 long hours of hunger finally came to an end(: )
Overall was fun fun(:
But It was tiring, and i SMELLLL~~~

Today went plaza sing to watch movie with nat and chloe :D
Hot summer days! :D
Did not turn out as nice as we expected.
Intended to watch another movie but turned out didn't cos nat had to go home earlyyyy.
Change of plan and went shoppingggggg :DDDD
Had a great time chatting and laughing as we shopped(:
Finally get to relax after common test :D
